Website terms

Website information does not replace a project agreement.

These terms explain the boundary between general website content, a project enquiry, supplier information and the separate written documents required before paid sourcing work begins.

Interior material and finish records representing written sourcing specifications and approvals
Does submitting a project enquiry create a contract or payment obligation?

No. VELA Home Global may review the scope, available information, product categories and practical requirements before deciding whether and how it can support the enquiry. Submission alone does not require either party to enter a contract.

1. Website scope

VELA Home Global publishes information about China sourcing, supplier coordination, products, inspection and logistics preparation. Website content is general information and is not a final quotation, product guarantee, certification, legal opinion or commitment to accept a project.

2. Project enquiries

A buyer must have the right to submit any BOQ, drawing, photograph, specification or other project file. Submission allows VELA Home Global to review the enquiry, but it does not create an agency, procurement or payment obligation.

3. Separate written agreement

A paid sourcing project begins only after the client signs the separate service agreement and pays the confirmed sourcing deposit. The service agreement, quotations, purchase orders, approved drawings, samples, payment records and written changes form the project record.

4. Supplier quotations and products

Supplier price, MOQ, lead time, materials, availability and quotation validity depend on the actual specification and commercial conditions. The buyer should not rely on a general website example as a guaranteed offer for a specific order.

5. Approvals and supplied information

The client remains responsible for supplied dimensions, quantities, specifications, destination requirements and final approval of drawings, samples, finishes and changes. VELA Home Global coordinates the records and supplier communication within the agreed scope.

6. Suppliers, warranty and inspection

The factory is responsible for its products and documented supplier warranty. Inspection checks agreed observable items at a particular time and reduces risk, but it does not guarantee against hidden defects, later damage, incorrect installation or misuse.

7. Freight and destination work

The selected freight forwarder, carrier, insurer, customs broker and destination contractors remain responsible for their contracted services. Standard VELA Home Global sourcing work does not include destination customs clearance, duties, unloading, local delivery, installation or local regulatory approval unless separately agreed in writing.

8. Changes and cancellations

Custom orders normally cannot be changed or cancelled after a factory deposit has been paid and production has started. Any requested change is subject to supplier acceptance, revised cost, schedule and the written project terms.

9. Intellectual property

Website text, photography, drawings and downloads may be protected by copyright or other rights. Users should not reproduce them without permission or another valid legal basis, and client or supplier materials remain subject to their respective rights.

10. Governing terms still requiring legal review

Governing law, jurisdiction, liability limits and dispute procedures have not been confirmed for publication on this draft website. Those terms must be reviewed and stated in the applicable final agreement before the site is launched as a production legal document.

20 practical questions

How the website and project documents work together.

These answers describe confirmed operating boundaries. The final legal wording still requires professional review before publication.

Does submitting a project enquiry create a contract or payment obligation?

No. VELA Home Global may review the scope, available information, product categories and practical requirements before deciding whether and how it can support the enquiry. Submission alone does not require either party to enter a contract.

Is an initial consultation or quotation legally binding?

No. VELA Home Global provides general service, product and sourcing information on the website. Final prices, quantities, specifications, fees and delivery conditions must be stated in project-specific quotations, orders or agreements.

Are product prices shown on the website guaranteed?

No. These conditions vary by supplier, product, quantity, specification, material, season and approval status. VELA Home Global confirms available information for a specific enquiry rather than guaranteeing general website examples.

How long is a supplier quotation valid?

A supplier quotation is valid only for the period stated in that quotation and may change with materials, exchange rates, quantities or specifications. VELA Home Global records the stated validity date and requests reconfirmation before the buyer relies on an expired offer.

When does a sourcing project officially begin?

A paid sourcing project officially begins after the client signs the separate service agreement and pays the sourcing deposit. VELA Home Global normally sets that deposit between USD 200 and USD 500 according to the project size and confirms the exact amount before work begins.

Will I receive a separate service agreement before work starts?

Yes. VELA Home Global signs a separate service agreement with the client before every paid sourcing project begins. The service agreement works together with quotations, purchase orders, payment records, the BOQ, approved drawings and written changes to define the project record.

What information must I provide before accurate quotations can be prepared?

Accurate quotations require confirmed quantities, dimensions, materials, finishes, hardware, drawings, packing, destination and commercial scope. VELA Home Global identifies missing inputs and coordinates clarification, but suppliers may revise prices when the buyer later changes those requirements.

Who is responsible if the measurements or specifications I provide are incorrect?

The client remains responsible for the accuracy of supplied dimensions, quantities, specifications, drawings and destination requirements. VELA Home Global can help correct minor issues without an additional service charge, but material changes that affect supplier work, production or third-party costs must be reviewed separately.

Are suppliers contracted directly by the buyer or through the sourcing company?

The client may contract with and pay the factory directly, while VELA Home Global charges its sourcing service fee according to the managed order value. If direct factory payment is inconvenient, the client may pay through VELA Home Global for onward payment under the agreed project arrangement.

Who is responsible for the quality and warranty of products made by a factory?

The factory is responsible for the product warranty under the supplier contract. When a defect is caused by the factory and falls within a documented warranty period, VELA Home Global assists with the claim and corrective communication, while the factory bears the approved factory-side remedy and cost.

Does a pre-shipment inspection guarantee that the goods have no defects?

No. Inspection reduces risk by checking agreed observable items at a specific time. VELA Home Global does not guarantee against hidden defects, later misuse, installation problems or damage occurring after the inspection.

What happens if a supplier delays production or changes a material?

VELA Home Global cannot guarantee the original schedule when production is delayed by force majeure. If the delay is caused by the factory, VELA documents the delay and pursues the contractual remedy or compensation available for the client; an unapproved material, hardware, color or process change may be rejected and sent back for corrective work before final payment.

Who approves samples, drawings, finishes and production changes?

The client personally gives final approval for samples, drawings, finishes and production changes. VELA Home Global organizes the approval record and communicates the client's confirmed decision to the relevant supplier before production proceeds.

Can an order be changed or cancelled after a deposit has been paid?

An order cannot normally be changed or cancelled after the factory deposit has been paid and production has started. VELA Home Global therefore asks the client to confirm the specification, samples, drawings and commercial terms before production release; service fees, sample fees, custom materials, completed production and third-party charges are non-refundable once committed.

Who is responsible for freight charges, customs duties and import taxes?

The buyer normally pays freight, insurance, customs duties, taxes and destination charges according to the selected shipping terms and provider quotations. VELA Home Global coordinates China-side cargo information, while the appointed freight forwarder and customs broker confirm the applicable logistics and import costs.

Who is responsible if goods are damaged during international shipping?

International transportation is governed by the selected freight forwarder, carrier and insurer. VELA Home Global can coordinate China-side records and communication but is not the international carrier responsible for transit performance or claims.

Is local delivery, unloading or installation included in a sourcing service?

No. VELA Home Global's standard service does not include destination customs clearance, unloading, local delivery, installation, site measurement or construction management. If the factory can provide remote installation guidance or another support service, that support can be added to the written project scope.

Who is responsible for local building codes, permits and product compliance?

The client and its qualified destination consultants remain responsible for identifying applicable codes, permits, certifications and installation requirements. VELA Home Global can request supplier documents but does not act as the destination regulator or licensed consultant.

Can website text, photographs, drawings or downloadable files be reused?

Website text, photographs, drawings and downloads may be protected by copyright or other rights and should not be reused without permission or a valid legal basis. VELA Home Global's final Terms should distinguish its own content from client, supplier and licensed third-party material.

Which country's law applies if there is a dispute?

The governing law, jurisdiction and dispute process must be stated in the final agreement and website Terms. VELA Home Global has not confirmed those legal details in this draft, so no country or court should be named until the contracting entity receives legal review.
